Tauèrna Urtau

The original Urtau tavern, opened on the little square in Arties in 1963 — a Basque-style pintxos bar with a legendary counter piled high with a hundred-odd pinchos, plus grilled meats and Aranese tapas. No reservations and often a queue: arrive early, grab a plate and a glass, and pay by the toothpick. One of the valley's most-loved après-ski institutions.
